ShortcutMe - Frequently Asked Questions

IMPORTANT (Activation):
Please note that you must enter the license key in the License Key field in the Common Config. page of ShortcutMe (ShortcutMe > Menu/BB Key > "Common Config"). This process activates the application.

Your new license key doesn't work for 3.10 series?
  • (Your license key for 3.10 should be fetched from http://shortcutme.com/key)

  • - Use "Updates" menu option in ShortcutMe (ShortcutMe>Menu/BB Key>Update) to update to 3.10.4.0 (or later) which has the fix


    • You have a Storm and you can't edit Double Right Convenience Key Click App
  • Please use the "Updates" menu option from ShortcutMe_Touch's main page to upgrade to 3.10.5.2 that has a fix for this

    • How can I change color and add symbols to a shortcut category on the main page of ShortcutMe?
  • Categories have the same color and symbols assigned to the first shortcut (from buttom) in that category. So just launch ShortcutMe, click the first key combination for a category, and edit the color and symbol for the first shortcut shown for that category.

    • How can I switch to DirectLaunch?
    When you are on the main page of ShortcutMe:
  • - Click "0" (zero) key on the left side of the Space key (For BlackBerries with full QWERTY keypads (like 9700, etc))
  • - Click "#" key on the right side of the Space key (For BlackBerries with SureType keypads (like 8100, etc))
  • - Click "dl" key on the virtual keypad (For BlackBerries with touch screen (like 9500, etc))

  • You can also set a multiclick app to launch "DirectLaunch_Toggle" (This will for exampla allow you to double click the left conv key to launch ShortcutMe in DirectLaunch Mode)
